The beauty of this tour is that it takes you through the Tropical Rain Forest in a way you can’t in El Yunque National Rain Forest. This is the only available package that will give you a 3-day packed tour with the best that Puerto Rico has to offer. It includes the 2 most impressive inland natural wonders among things to do in Puerto Rico as a tourist – do Las Delicias Waterfall and La Piedra Escrita, and hike and visit our best example of a Tropical Rainforest, Toro Negro.
In this tour, you get to experience the Puerto Rico that very few ever see. It’s designed to have a slow pace and have you learn about the history of the island. You will have enough time to discover more of the 5 places very few know about while still going under the radar because they are truly must-visit places in our island.
This tour gives you the 4 most important things to do in the San Juan metroplex as a tourist – an Old San Juan Tour to visit Santurce Home of our urban and street art district then on to the Barrilito Rum Distillery, our finest Distillery ever, and then visit a visit to our African Heritage area, Piñones in Loiza, where you will finish in the local beach at La Pocita.
In this tour, you get an unbiased script and get to expand the regular route with an extra 2.5 hours, so it’s designed to have a slow pace which gives you all the time to learn about the history of the city and how Puerto Rico was under the Spanish ruling. You will learn how Puerto Rico became a territory of our nation, USA, and how we have flourished since 1898.
Also, with this tour you avoid the long hours walking up and down hill and sweating under the Caribbean sun or wasting your precious vacation time looking for Old San Juan’s main landmarks and buildings.
After that, you will go to Santurce to discover our Urban Art and Murals. Visit our finest Rum Distillery. At Piñones in Loiza, visit the community center, see its beach – La Pocita, and even try some of its famous authentic Afro-Puerto Rican street food if you choose to do so. In the end, we will then bring you back to your departing spot.
Finally, the biggest difference with this tour is that we take you to the Bioluminescence in a boat that requires no effort on your part. Then, you can swim and immerse in it and not just swipe your hand 3 feet above the water in a kayak. With other tour packages like Fajardo bioluminescent tours, they are done in kayaks. It is an uneventful and less than ideal way to experience it because with kayaking in the dark through a narrow channel you will end up bumping into other kayaks and the occasional mangrove roots. It is also within the main island, so no ferry or overnight stay to do it like in Mosquito Bay.
